فقد أجمع علماء اللغة العربية على أن علم النحو من أسمى العلوم قدرا وأعلاها شرفا، وبه تسلم نصوص الكتاب والسنة من اللحن والتحريف. وقال ابن عطية: "إعراب القرآن أصل في الشريعة، لأنه سبيل لمعرفة معانيه التي هي أصل الشرع".
وطلبة العلم الشرعي سيما علوم القرآن لا بد لهم من الإلمام بعلم النحو والإعراب وخاصة القرآن الكريم، لقول العلماء: من برع في علم النحو والإعراب يسهل عليه كل علم.
